Well, last night and this morning I used the Ponds anti-bacterial facial scrub and corresponding toner. All I have to say is: wow. (obviously I’m going to write more than that)!
The scrub is a dream. You only need a tiny amount (I used a dollop as big as my pinkie fingernail) to wash your entire face. The exfoliant beads are so smooth on your face, an escape from ye scratchy scrubs of old, and lathers up quickly. The lather is so smooth, gentle and light I almost wondered if I was smearing whipped egg whites on my face. It’s not frothy or heavy on your skin- and for something designed for heavy duty war against bad skin, that’s a shock! After I rinsed, and got some in my eye (the ONLY bad moment in the whole experience), my face felt so clean I wouldn’t be suprised if it squeaked. Or if each pore had been filled with detergent. So far, so good. I looked in the mirror and (ok, so it is possibly a placebo effect-type reaction, but still) already my skin seemed fresher, younger and my pores didn’t seem canyon-esque- which is a major plus. Hopefully, it’ll be the same on day #2!
The toner was something I didn’t expect. Greeny clear liquid, that looked more like heavily diluted cordial than a beauty product, I was unfamiliar with but assured it woul work miracles (you better be right, google!). I put a squirt on a cotton ball and painted my face with it. Nothing. No reaction whatsoever. Until… Zing! My Face starts tingling! Oooh aaaah, my skin feels fresh an vibrant! Hooray! Wierd! Who knew such a little bottle would go such a long way to fizz up my face- brilliant!
The olay total effects moisturizer I used was awesome too. Not that I could tell any difference after smearing it over my face and neck. But it was light on my skin and has spf15 (and we all know how much sun damage sucks, right?) so I’m optimistic.
Here’s hoping it works just as well tomorrow!
